Feb. 16 The Rome correspondent of the , Daily Telegraph says an Italian Foreign Office publication states that the Government has no intention of taking political, economic or moral measures against Jews except those who are hostile to the regime. The statement blames foreign news- I papers for false rumours about the ! position of Jews. It says the Govern- | rnent believes the Jewish problem can be solved only by the creation of a i Hebrew State, but not in Palestine. i This State, by means of diplomatic ; and Consular agents, would watch over I the interests of Jews living elsewhere.
