Newell, formerly of Ham- ! lit on, who Is at present visiting the 1 town, entertained the old pupils of her preparatory school and friends at a pleasant afternoon tea party in the Wattle Rooms on Wednesday, j Lovely howls of autumn-shaded ! flowers had been arranged in the rooms and a delightful afternoon was spent i by the guests, who were received by 1 Miss Newell wearing a navy blue suit and matching straw hat.
