Copyright SYDNEY, Feb. 14 An outstanding fixture for the visiting riflemen, the Empire teams match, which Is being conducted mainly on Bislev lines, and in which some of the most consistent shots in the British Empire are participating, was begun to-day in ideal conditions at the Anzac range, Liverpool. New Zealan |rs engaged are:—T. Nicholl, J. Farley, F. Soler, F. Jeune, R. Croxton, W. West, F. Bowes and E. Wrigley. To-day s match comprised 10 shots from 300, 500 and 600 yards. At the end of the day’s shooting Australia led with 1128 points, Britain was second with 1126, New Zealand third with 1121, South Africa fourth with 1119. The British team made a fine recover} at the list range '6OO yards) >- previous 'SOO yards) ring*- They put on a total of 378 out of a possible *OO, wldrh brought them within two points of Australia. Corporal L. lloddle Brihijn . who figured so prominently in two stages f tbe King's Prize, regfstered nine out of to possible hulls. Tbo New Zealander Folet shot well for his side.
