PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS TOURNAMENT CONCLUDES PLAY AT INVERCARGILL (By Telegraph.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Sunday A brilliant fourth round of 69 after losing his ball at the first hole gave A. Murray, of Auckland, the New Zealand professional golf championship, his total score for four rounds being 284. Another Aucklander, T. S. Galloway, was runner-up with 287. The tournament, which is an annual one conducted by the Professional Golfers’ Association in a different centre each year, occupied three days. The first and second rounds were played yesterday and the third and fourth to-day, the weather being fine and hot throughout. Light rain fell for a few minutes this afternoon and slowed up the fiery greens a little. At the end of the third round Galloway was leading by one stroke from Murray and B. J. Smith, jun. Galloway picked up another stroke on Murray at the first hole this afternoon, but after that Murray played faultlessly and reached the turn in 34, four under bogey, to Galloway’s 38. Smith was out in 35. Murray continued to play beautiful golf coming back, while Smith, who was his partner, fell into errors, hooking two balls out of bounds at the fourteenth. Murray's card for the fourth round was as follows : 'Out: 53433435 6—34 In: 3 5345443 4—35 Total 69 This card included seven birdies. The results are as follows:
