British Banner had improved his position to be right up behind School Song and Poker Face as the field raced to the turn. Here General Ruse was handy and moving up in front of Dombey. Haile Boy and Ellanui. School Song went on to win by a length from Poker Face who beat General Ruse by one and a-half lengths. The favourite, British Banner, was fourth and then came Haile Boy, Racewhip, Master Musk, Dombey, Ellanui and Siwell. Time, 1.5 2 4-5. Prival made amends for his somewhat unhappy defeat on opening day when he finished on to win attractively. Little Idea was just clear of Long Span as they raced to the turn, Prival having improved his position here to be in front of Town Section and Jolie Dance. In a good finish Prival came through to beat Town Section by half a length with Long Span a length awav third. Jolie Dance was fourth followed by Le Turc, Little Idea and Spearford. Time, i. 17 3-5.

Glen Abb gave his best performance for some time when he finished on to win attractively. Bonny song, too, was responsible ior a meritorious performance, while Ringshot, who had every chance, was staying on at the end. Professional and Ringshot were prominent early and they led past the stands from Floodlight, Black Musk, Sockettes, Gav Sister, Jack Tar, Bonny Song, Glen .Abb and Full of Scotch. Professional and Ringshot were practically on terms along the back and half-a-mlle from home, were showing out from Floodlight, Glen .Abb and Black Musk, with a gap to Bonny Sons:, Gav Sister and Jack Tar. Professional and Ringshot were locked together as the field levelled up for home with Black Musk and Glen Abb handy In front of Floodlight who was heading the remainder. In a fine finish in which the placed horses flashed past the post practically in line, Abb got the verdict bv a'neck from Bony Song with Ringshot a' head away third. black Musk was fourth and then came Professional, Jack Tar, Floodlight, Gav Sister.
