TE AWAMUTU BRANCH ■The committee of the Te Awamutu branch of the Plunket Society met when the president, Mrs A. H. Storey, occupied the chair. Also present were Mesdames S. G. Broadbent, R. G. Andrew, R. G. Connal, C. G. Downes, W. P. Locke, S C. Macky, J. Oliphant, J, C. Self and H. A. Swarbrick. An apomgy for absence was received from Mrs A. 0. O'Brien. Arrangements were set in hand for the annual paddy's market, which it is hoped to hold on Thursday, March 24. Miss J. Thomas, lately relieving at New Plymouth, was appointed relieving nurse for the period of Nurse McLeod's absence abroad. The resignation of the secretary, Mrs H. A. Swarbrick, was received with regret. Nurse's report for January showed 42 new cases; visits to the homes 34; to the rooms, adults 233, babies 220, older children 29; total, 516 visits. Telephone calls 26; babies under supervision 280, older children 40. The box donations for December and January amounted to £4 13s sd.
