Copyrltfrt (Received Feb. 12, 1.45 p.m.) CAPETOWN, Feb. 11 The opening of Parliament by Hi§ Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Patrick Duncan, was characterised by an innovation, the band, before the National Anthem playing the Afrikaans’ melody called “ The' Voice of South. Africa," which Afrikanders hope will be officially recognised as a joint National Anthem.
