There have been requests to the Railways Department that stock-loading facilities should be provided near Ihe saleyards. which back on to the railway line nearly half-a-mile Trom the railway stai tion. I A reply received by the Morrmsville «’ Borough Council this week from the Minister of Railways states that the circumstances have been investigated, but the results disclose that the transference of stock-loading facilities would not be warranted at the present time. The department has spent large sums in recent years in improving the stockyards at the station. New loading yards near the saleyards would also create dittlcultles for shunting.
