Dear Boys and Girls, In a charming little letter I have received from one of our members she asks can I tell her of any really nice books on animals, as she loves this kino of book best of all. Perhaps if 1 reply tc her questions here It may be or Interest to others. Of all the books I have seen recently I think “ Our Princesses and Their Dogs ” would be very interesting to you. Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret Rose have eight : dogs, and the book tells us ail about | them; it also shows a lot of very nice ; photographs of them and their mistresses, j Another book called “ Laugh, Clown, Laugh ” would be very Interesting to most | or our members. book to every home In New Zealand. I am sure It would help to win many to work as some one has before written: “ in the Union of all who serve in the service of all who sufTer.” There is another nice little book by Harper Cory called “ Lovable Beasts.” If you belong- to a library you could most likely get this book. I wonder how many of you like poetry? IT any do, then try to get a little book or poems on animals; it is railed “ Harvest Home ” (by Arthur Lvnford-Smlth). It Is delightrul reading, and conveys a good deal of Interesting Information about both tame and wild animals. I think those books will keep you busy for a time. I will be on tbe Tor others.
