WEDDING D ARROW—FINLAY The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, on the afternoon of January 26, between Eileen Emily, third daughter of Mr and Airs S. Finlay, of Forest Lake, Hamilton, and James Byron, first son of the late Air and Airs F. B. Darrow. The officiating minister was the Very Rev. T. P. Weatherhog, Dean of Hamilton, and Mr E. H. Apthorp presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated with white gladioli. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a slim-fitting gown of white satin, the bodice being fashioned with a low draped neckline, and the sleeves, draped to the elbow, finishing in tight cuffs forming a point over the hands. The fitting skirt fell to a long oval train ancl her long tuflo M-il. worn out the face, fell from a halo of plaited satin to form a! double train. She carried a bouquet of white gladioli, cactus dahlias, and; maidenhair fern. Tim bridesmaids wore Misses Gwen, arid (dive Finlay, sisters of the bride, who wore slim-tilting frocks of linn* green needlcrun lace, the bodices being] fashioned with low draped necklines and full, puffed elbow-length sleeves, I the skirls falling to form slight trains.] They wore matching pleated turbans] and carried amber-shaded bouquets of] caclus dahlias and maidenhair fern. ; Mr Alvin Woolven was best man and Mr Max Harrow was groomsman. The ushers were Mr Pat Doak and Air Reg. Sherson. After Mil- ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Rooms, which had been beautifully decorated with bowls of autumn-shaded dahlias. Mrs Finlay, mother of tDo bride, received Ihe guests wearing a gown of bottle green heavy lace with a picture hat of bangkok straw. She carried a posy of autumn-tinted marigolds and buttonhole dahlias. Mrs A. H. Cameron, of Ngaruawahia, sister of the groom, was wearing an autumnshaded frock with a brown redingote ancl matching hat, She carried a posy of autumn-shaded marigolds and buttonhole dahlias. When Mr and Airs J. B. Darrow left by car for the wedding trip the bride travelled wearing a smart navy redingote and matching accessories. They will make their home in Taumarunui.
