DEFENCE POLICY
DEBATE IN COMMONS DAY TO BE SET ASIDE RUGBY, February 10. The Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, has agreed to a suggestion, made by the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons, Major C. R. Attlee, that a day should be given for a general discussion on defence before the estimates for individual services are taken. He also consented for a White Paper to be issued in advance of the debate, giving details of the progress of the rearmament and the work of Sir Thomas Inskip, Minister for the Coordination of Defence.
