PUTARURU VALUEB The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering, Company, Limited, report having held their usual Putaruru stock sale yesterday, when a good yarding of cattle came forward, the entry comprising mostly of boner cows "which sold at values on a par with late Frankton rates. A few potter bulls sold at ! recent quotations. A full yarding of 1 all classes of pigs saw competition , keen, prices remaining firm. Light fat j cows and heifers made £4 10s to £5 j ss; tillable cows, £4 to £4 10s, heavy ; boner cows. £3 15s to £4 ss, medium, ! £2 10s to £3 ss, light, 25s to £2. light potter bulls, £4 to £4 15s, Jersey heifer calves, £2 16s. Pigs: Medium porkers to £3 6s, light, £2 18s to £3 4s, medium porkers, £2 2s to £2 9s, light, 36s to £2. unfinished, 30s to 345, large stores, 23s 6d to 27s 6d, medium 18s to 21s, slips, 12s to 16s 6d. weaners, 6s to 12s, Tamworth boar £4. SHEEP AT HAMILTON The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows on their Hamilton store j sheep sale held on Wednesday:— i An average yarding of store lambs resulted, the market for which showed I a marked improvement, values advancj ing up to 2s per head. We also offered i 2-tooth ewes, these also meeting a firm market. Two-tooth ewes made 32s 6d to 365; forward conditioned wethers 20s 3d: W.F. ewe lambs, 21s to 235; mixed sex W.F. lambs, 18s 2d to 19s 6d; B.F. store lambs. 14s 6d to 16s lid; smaller, lis 6d to 13s 6d; cull lambs, 8s 3d to 9s 3d; Southdown rams 4 to 4* guineas. STORE SHEEP SALE Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Company, Ltd., report having held their weekly store sheep sale at Frankton yesterday when the advertised entry came forward. Competition throughout was very keen and prices advanced.
