The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate north-easterly winds, gradually freshening. WeaI ther fine with warm and humid conditions but cloud increasing and later isolated rain developing. Seas slight to moderate, but later rising somewhat. General Inference: The recent anti-cyclone is nowcentred east of New Zealand and a very shallow depression is located over the western Tasman Sea. Pressure is tailing also in the north. Tasman, where there is some indication of disturbed conditions developing.
