LABOUR UNREST
STRIKES IN FRANCE MYSTERY ABOUT TERMS VICTORY FOR THE WORKERS United Pres? Assn. —Elec. Tel. Cor>yriga\ (Received Dec. 31, 3.15 p.m.) PARIS, Dec. 30 While Paris is back to normal several other strikes have occurred in the Paris region and elsewhere. Workers occupied the gas station at Nanterre. Mobile Guards went to the scene to compel evacuation. The strike at the Goodrich Tyry Company’s works at Golombes has not been settled. The port workers at Rouen are still out.
Eleven hundred men at the Anzln coalmines, near Valenciennes, struck as a protest against the dismissal of three colleagues because they left work 25 minutes early to see a football match.
There Is some mystery about terms under which the men resumed. So far no official statement has been forthcoming from the Government or municipality.
It would appear that the workers won a complete victory.
