Senior-Sergeant G. 11. Lambert, who conducted the rase for the police, stated that accused was brought to the police station yesterday by Bonnor. a telegraph boy. who stated that the l.icvclc had been removed from inside bis gate at Scddon Road. lie pursued the accused and caught him when lie -saw him take the machine. Accused admitted stealing the \ l.iryde and said lie intended lo sell it. » The Senior Sergeant said accused had X been before the court before and was on probation. lb* bad previously been convicted f..r theft and there was no doubt that his action was d*’-
