The annexe of the Otorohanga Town Hall was crowded recently on the occasion of the seventh birthday social meeting of the Otorohanga branch of the Women's Division. The large number of guests from neighbouring branches and Institutes was excellently catered for by a band of willing workers. Great Inte'rest was shown in the comprehensive exhibits of the flower oirole, which held its usual monthly competitions. After lunch a most enjoyable entertainment was given in the Town Hall. Cooke as accompaniest. Mrs R. Chaffey appeared In frilled skirt and flowered hat as Daisy Bell, the song loader. Mrs Buckland sang “Silver Hair and Heart of Gold” and in contrast, Mrs Hood, a typical “Mademoiselle" from Armentiers, sang the old war song.
