PROGRESS AT OTOROHANGA. YEAR’S TROPHY WINNERS. (Special to Times.) OTOROHANGA. Thursday. Mr L. Palmer, the president., occupied the rhalr at, the annual meeting of the Otorohanga Defence Rifle Club. Ther vn. a large and enthusiastic attendance of members. The trophy winners for the past year writ —Johnson Trophy. T. Melville (ISO': Holmes Trophy. J. Onion (181); Graham Trophv II Graham (188); WeStmacott Trophy’ j’ Onion (?fi4>; Palmer-Hyde Trophv’ 1.." Palmer (282); Club championship, L Painter (GOT); handicap aggregate, T. Melville (584); service championship, J- Onion (272); Doull’s Trophy, (for the most Improved shot), T. Melville. The president in Ills report stated that the past season was the most successful In the history or the club. The shooting improved to such an extent that the club standard had to be raised from 00 to 94. in spite or the fact that the handicaps were considerably reduced. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:- Patron, Major 11. S. P. Westmacott. 0.R.E.; president, Mr 1.. Palmers; vice-presidents, Messrs w. Panders, W. H. Holmes, Dickens, J. H.
