GIFT AFTERNOON.

FOR MISS TRIX MONCKTON. HAPPY WAINGARO FUNCTION. Miss Trix Monckton was the guest-of-honour at a delightful gift afternoon given by Mesdames Ronald Seavill and C. Parsons at Mrs SeavJll’s home at Waingaro on Thursday. Novel competitions caused much amusement, and a delicious afternoon tea was served. Miss Monckton was the recipient of many useful gifts. Among those present were:—Mesdames O. M. Monckton. G. Reeves. A. E. Wilson, Reid (Waicnai), H. Upton, J. Seavill, R. Cobbe, G. Seavill, Armstrong, White, C. B. Hobson (Otorohanga), N. Pidduck, A. Eyre. Misses Trix Monckton, Dorothy Wilson, Win Picken, Jean White.
