ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

TE AWAimJTU BRANCH. YEAR’S WORK REVIEWED. (Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU, Friday. Mr Q. W. Malra, president, presided over a fair attendance at the annual meetng- or the Te Awamutu branch of the SU John Ambulance Association. In his review of affairs Mr Malrs stated that the branch had made steady progress and a large amount of work was accomplshed during tihe year. There was a slight Improvement in the financial position. The statement or finances showed an Improvement from £ll 15s 6d to £ls 9s Bd. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, the Mayor, Mr G. Splnley; president, Mr G. W. Malrs, vice-presidents, Messrs K. C. Rlcklt, J. G. Gifford, W. G. Park, H. C. Rainey, W. A. Woodward, C. W. Rlcklt, S. Clark, S. S. Preston, D. Bockett and E. H. Cucksey; secretary, Mr H. P. Ensor; treasurer, Mr H. C. Rainey; executive committee, Messrs G. W. Malrs, G. B. Melrose. H. C. Rainey, W. Mensforth, A. H. Roberts, A. Richards, J. F. Brooks, H. Giles, J. Fleming, Mrs C. Rae and the secretary; auditor, Mr D. Bockett. The Brigade Superintendent, Mr H. Holt, reported that Mrs C. Rae had qualified for the St. John Medallion, five men (had passed the “home nursing” examination In 193 6, and there were 8 members who were now entitled to wear the St. John Ambulance medallion. There are 12 uniformed men available Tor duty. During 1036. the 14 members attended 349 accident cases, 2 9 or which were sent to a doctor.
