ENDORSED BY UNION. PROGRESS OF CAMPAIGN. Mr J. H. Furniss, of the Waikato sub-provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, who lias relumed from the Dominion conference In Wellington, slated to-day that Hie gathering was addressed by Mr S. J. E. Closey, who placed before it a plan by which the compensated price could be given effect to without in any way involving an increase in taxation or any inflation of costs. This lecture was illustrated with interesting graphs which he had recently completed. The plan was unanimously approved by the conference and would be made the basis of Hie future conduct of the campaign. The speaker reported on his organisation work in the South Island, the result of which had proved gratifying. He was now engaged in completing operations in South 'Canterbury.
