DEAD IN BACH
FARMER’S SUDDFN END. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE. Monday. The death occurred suddenly on Friday afternoon of Mr Fred Newcombe, farmer of Karapiro, aged 52 Deceased, who was single, resided in a ha eh on the farm, and on Friday afternoon the attention of a public works employee was attracted kv the continuous barking of Mr Neweombe’s dog. The employee investigated and found Mr Xewcombe lying dead on the floor of the bach, tl was known that it was Mr Newcombe** Intention that afternoon to go to his sister’s residence at Cambridge to spend the night. The late Mr Newcombe was the third -son of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Newcombe. He was horn at Leamington and educated at the district school. He had lived all his life in the Cambridge district. Mr Newcombe was a keen sportsman and in earlier days lie was a prominent Rugby player in Cambridge and had alwavs been interested in all forms of sport. Deceased Is survived by three brothers, Messrs Jack. Harold and Richard Newcombe and one stater. Miss Elizabeth Newcombe, all of Cambridge.
