ENJOYABLE DANCE.
HORSHAM DOWNS FUNCTION. The first of a series of euchre and dances was held in the Horsham Downs Hall, on Wednesday, when a most enjoyable evening was spent. The music was supplied by members of the Ambassadors’ Dance Band and Mr H. Stott was M.C. A delightful supper was served by members of the social committee. Winners of the euchre were Mrs Anderson and Mrs Stott. Among the many present were: — Mesdames E. Stott, wearing green velvet and lace; A. Parkes, black charmeuse; C. O’Shannessey, black satin grano; Anderson (Karaplro) blue marocain: W. E. Turner, navy and scarlet rayon; N. M. Rye, vleux rose ring velvet. Misses Marjorie McGruer (Ngaruawahia), black panne velvet; M. Bruce, rose pink crepe and silver lame; A. Bruce, apricot cloque crepe; R. Richardson, black and gold spotted tunic; M. Williamson, (Gordonton), green striped spun silk; M. Clark (Gordonton), floral uncrushable crepe; E. Casey, .red ensemble; L. Casey, floral georgette; A. Wintere, marina green oloque and Ivory coatee; K. Borman, Buckingham lilac satin; B. O’Shannessey (New Plymouth), black satin and gold lame; E. Werner, marina blue Valencia; E. Parkes, gold taffeta; E. Younger, Margaret Rose cloque; M. Needham, floral georgette; M. Strawbridge, pink crepe-de-chlne; J. O’Shannessey, powder blue georgette; R. O’Shannessey, floral georgette.
