ENJOYABLE PARTY.

GUILD ANNIVERBARY OELEBRATED. The Church of Christ Ladles’ Guild held a very enjoyable party recently to celebrate the eleventh anniversary of the Guild. Bowls of wattle and Iceland popples made charming decorations In the Social Hall. The programme consisted of games and competitions. Musical Items were given by Mesdames Burnett, iKnapp, Kerfoot, T. Pearson and A. Pearson. YThe colour scheme in the supperroom was blue and gold, the tables being artistically arranged with Iceland popples and autumn - tinted leaves. A feature of the supper was a beautiful birthday cake made by Mrs N. Polglase. During the evening the president, Mrs J. Salisbury, spoke briefly on the work of the guild, after’ which she ■ was presented with a bouquet of violets and daphne. Among those present were :—Mesdames J. Salisbury, J. Foster, Burnett, W. Hood, N. Polglase, A. Hood, Ward, T. Atkins, R. Bee, A. Pearson, E. Butt, T. Pearson, C. Pollard, F. Cooney, F. Gadd, E. Phillips, K. P. Eade, Bunker, L. Bulck, W. Westwater, J. Ballard, Kerfoot. Knapp, Wagstaff (Nelson), Livingstone.
