MR SAVAGE FAREWELLED. A PARTING MESSAGE. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright (Received June 25, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, June 24. A large crowd farewelle'd Mr M. J. Savage at the Liverpool Street station. They sang “ He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and cheered. Mr Neville Chamberlain’s private secretary brought a message of Godspeed. In a farewell statement to the British press Mr Savage thanked the Government on behalf of the delegation and •all New Zealanders for the generous hospitality. He regretted that owing to the pressure of work he was unable to accept a host of invitations from all parts of the United Kingdom.
