DRAMA CLUB. The Te Awamutu Drama Club held a play-reading of W.liiam Shakespeare's “Twelfth Nighl ” in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. Mr II Swai'brick was the producer. Following were the east: —Orsino. Mr V. A. De Cock: Sebastian. Mr N. Griffiths; Antonio. Mr A. Sutherland; Valentine, Mr P. Steer; Sir Toby Belch, Mr \V. Faggin; Sir Andrew Aguecheek, Mr \Y. Macky; Malvolio, Mr E. Bent; Feste, Mr S. G. Wood; Fabian, Mr D. Steer; Olivia, Miss M. Hansard; Viola, Mrs S. G. Wood; Maria, Miss L. Potts; captain, priests, etc., Mr 11. A. Swarbrick. GIRLS’ CLUB DANCE. The annual dance of the St. John's Girls' Club was held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday evening. The hall looked most effective, arranged with lycopodium and coloured lights overhead, and with greenery about the walls and on the stage. Autumn-tinted leaves and chrysanthemums had been artistically arranged In the supper-room. Mrs Leckie’s orchestra played excellent music. A novelty dance was won by Mrs Zorab, Jnr., and partner. The success of the evening was in no small measure due to the admirable work of the M.C., Mr M. Griffiths, and members of the club, who attended to the supper and did much towards the pleasure of the guests. The host and hostess, the Rev. M. Sullivan and Mrs Suflivan, received the guests, Mrs Sullivan wearing a frock of black cloque. The committee present were:—Mrs L. Te'asdale, wearing brown and gold velvet; Misses E. Palmer, floral pique voile; L. Cruickshank, flowered georgette; L. Focke, black georgette and lace; K. 'Kerr, blue net over satin; G. Garvey, while net over satin; P. North, black lace. Among others present were:—Mesdames J. Muir, K. Hiskens, L. Newton (Auckland), W. G. Parker, 11. Steer, J. Walton, A. Tailby, L. Mather. Misses Mavis Macky, Lorna Potts, Avis Rickit, Mary Maxwell, B.
