INCREASED SUBSIDY.
SCHOOL BUS SERVICE. PARENTS APPEAL TO BOARD. An appeal from parents who have children attending the 'Hamilton High School from the Netherby district for co-operation in obtaining an increased •Government travelling subsidy, for the recently inaugurated bus service, was received at yesterday’s meeting of the Hamilton High School Board of Thu letter staled that in view of tho distance travelled and the consequent expense, the present subsidy was quite inadequate. The secretary reported that the matter had been referred to the Department of Education and a reply had been received stating that the Department, had recently communicated with the Principal of the Hamilton Technical College in regard to these services, asking for information of mileages and the distance of children's homes from the school. The secretary was instructed to confer with Mr W. Fraser with re-
gard to the position. Mr G. L. MacDinrmid presided at the meeting and also present were Dr. \\. Douglas. Messrs J. Bollard. 11. M. Hammond. F. A. Snell. .1. Primrose. F. A. do la Mare. S. B. Sims and the acting-principal. Mr 11. D. Tail, and the secretary. Mr B. English.
