VALEDICTORY.

MR AND MRS E. WARD FARE WELLED. (Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU. Friday. On Thursday evening the Thames Valley Agricultural and Pastoral Association tendered a farewell and social to Mr and Mrs Edwin Ward, or Te Aroha West, who are leaving to reside at Tlrau. For over DO years Mr Ward has been a member or the association and a leading steward in the draught horse section. On behalf of the members Mr W. A. Clark presented the guests with a travelling rug. In returning thanks Mr Ward said he would be happy to retain his membership, and although he would be some distance away trusted he would still be of some service to the association. Contributions to a much appreciated concert progranyne were made by Miss Avtie Jackson. Messrs w. Ueverell. L. Phillips and A. Stewart.
