OFFICIAL INVESTIGATIONS. REPORTS FOR PJUBLICATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) J WELLINGTON, Friday. W The Minister of Defence, the Hon. 'F. Jones, announced to-day that it was desirable that the public should know that all aircraft accidents are subject to inquiry by the Air Department. Every accident is investigated immediately hy the inspector of accidents and a report is submitted to the Minister. From this report it is decided whether further inquiry is |necessary. In future it is the intention Ito release the main facts of these reports for publication. I In accordance with this the main facts from two recent official accident ’reports by the inspector of accidents are given. The accidents concerned are one at Taieri on March 23 and the other at Greymonth on April li.
