KARAKARIKI BRANCH.

:i*n?, The monthly meeting of the Karakariki branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held recently, Mrs Magner presiding. The meeting opened with the reading of the creed.

The roll call, “A child’s quaint saying,” was most amusing. A competition arranged by Mrs Hart was won by Mrs Has tie. The election of officers for the coming year resulted in the old committee being re-elected. A fancy dress dance will be held on May 7, to help with the funds. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs Hastie and Mrs Magner, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a very enjoyable afternoon to a close.
