The Munich correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that while the Duchess of Kent stays w’ith her sister the Duke is likely to accompany the Duke of Windsor on a skiing trip to the Austrian Tyrol. The Privy Council to-day rejected the claim of the hereditary Lord Great Chamberlain, the Earl of Ancaster, to erect a box in Westminster Abbey for the Coronation, but recognised his right to exercise the duties previously appertaining to the office of Lord Great Chamberlain and to have such privileges and profits as the King might determine.
The Earl had claimed not only the right to erect and use a box, but to wear 40 yards of crimson velvet with his robes, to lodge at the King's Court at all times, to dress the' King on Coronation Day and to carry the Royal Robe, Crown and Sword of State presented to the King at the High Altar.
