. TOURNEY AT ROTORUA. PAIRS COMPETITION. WAIKATO TEAMS (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) ROTORUA, Tuesday. Weather conditions were not too promising when the Rotorua Bowling Club’s annual open pairs tournament was continued this morning but the fourth round was completed without Interruption. Conditions are now slightly brighter. Smith (Auckland), last year’s winner, and Hunt (Ponsonby), runnerup, were both again defeated this morning, while all the Waikato district teams have also been beaten. Results of the fourth round matches in which Waikato teams are engaged are:— Section B.—Rotorua, Lee and Rowe, 31 beat Whitiora, Booth and Michell, 12. Section C. —Havelock North, Flanders and Cummings, 16 beat Putaruru, McCrea and Francis, 12. Section D. —Huntly, Penman and Smith, 23 beat Waitara, Sampson and Casey, 13. SECOND AND THIRD ROUNDS. WAIKATO PLAYERS’ PROGRESS. . (By Telegraph.—. Special to Times.) ROTORUA, Tuesday. The following are later results In the Rotorua Bowling Club's annual pairs tournament of matches in which Waikato teams were engaged: Section B: —Whitiora (Booth and Michell) 20 beat Taumarunui, 16 Third round: West End 20 beat Whitiora, 13. Section G:—Third round : Auckland 19, beat Putaruru (McCrea and Cummings), 12. Section D: —Second round. Grey Lynn 22, beat Huntly (Penman and Smith), 16; Whitiora (House and Davis) 20, beat Waitara, 18. Third round: Rotorua, 25 beat Whitiora, 12; Huntly 24, beat Epsom, 17.
