A “STANDSTILL” AGREEMENT. EXTENDED FOR A YEAR. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright •BERLIN, Feb. 20. British. American. French. Swiss and other creditors of Germany have agreed to the “standstill" agreement regarding German debts being extended for one year until February 28, 1938. There are to be slight changes, chiefly an extension of the cancellation of unused credits. German indebtedness originally was £525.000.000 in 1931, and now is £92000,000, chiefly through the operation of registered marks.
