INTOXICATED TAILOR. FINE OF £25 INFLICTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WE L LIX GTO N, Monday. William Knox (63), merchant tailor, never previously in any kind of trouble, was charged to-day with intoxication in charge of a car. He pleaded guilty.

It was stated that lie was seen to go up to a car unsteadily and get into the driver’s seat. Counsel stated that Knox had no intention of driving the oar but was waiting for his son to drive him home and this was explained to the police at the time.

The magistrate imposed a fine of £25.
