PUBLIC HIGHWAYS.
WORK OF lIAUTIFIOATIOI. When the Minister of internal Affairs. the lion. \V. E. Parry. announced his scheme {or the beautification of highways in the Dominion. Mr W. H. Paul. president at the llmnilton Beautii’ying Society. sent. to the Minister copies of booklets he has on the beautification of highways in England and others showing the interest taken in mud beautification by the Automobile Associations. The Minister has returned the publications stating that he found much in them that was of interest untl he has had notes taken at sen-Pal ‘ points. Mr Paul suggested to-day that the Automobile Association's patrol men might act as rangers on the highwayl.
