Crew ston, a former London and Sydney Journalist, she shared the hardships of Marranboy tin—mining field for six years. Later she conducted a unique boarding-house and butchery busine‘ss. Marrying Mr A. Ray nine years ago. Mrs Ray went to Meinoru cattle station, in Arnhem Land, 100 miles northeast of Marranboy. Despite the loneliness when her husband was away for months with cattle. Mrs Ray remembers only one orcnsion when she was frightened.
