WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB. i SPLENDID WEATHER PREVAILS. j | Fine but blustery weather prevailed ! on Saturday for the Spring meeting of ; the Waikato Trotting Club held at Claudelands and as a result there was ' a very large attendance. The smooth , green lawns looked most attractive in j the sunshine, but there were not many j light clothes worn in the keen wind, j Particularly popular were the' new | swagger suits in bold checks and little j straw toques with minute eye veils j were very much in vogue. Navy, as i usual, was first favourite among the i tailored suits and beige’ and brown were much worn in woollen ensembles.
