The Daily Telegraph says science is closely allied with Industry in the New Zealand Steam Ship Company's 12.000-ton refrigerating ship, which will be launched at Clydebauk on September 17. Ozone will he used to maintain the freshness of the fruit and meat cargoes, for which there is over 300,000 cubic feet. Sea air will bn passed hourly through the freezing chambers, and the gases breathed out by pears and apples will be blown away, thus maintaining the purity of the air.
