BLEDISLOE CUP. NEW ZEALAND’S VICTORY. AUSTRALIANS’ CONGRATULATIONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Unable through ill-health to see the test match at Dunedin on Saturday, Mr G. Shaw, manager of the Australian Rugby team, paid a tribute to New Zealand for regaining the Bledisloe Cup. “ We have no regrets, for we are always willing to shake the hands of the winners,” lie said. “ 1 hope the public and players have enjoyed meeting the Australians, for we have tried to he sportsmen, on and off the field. Wo will be looking forward to New Zealand visiting Australia in 1938 for the All Blacks are always admired and enjoyed in Australia." Mr Shaw congratulated the All Blacks’ captain, Griffiths, and the selectors, on their success. lie hoped New Zealand would be able to get together All Blacks of similar calibre to meet the Springboks next year. AUSTRALIAN TEAM. HEALTH OF MEMBERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELL INGTON, Tuesday. The manager of the Australian Rugby team, Mr E. G. Shaw, continues to show improvement in health. He was out of doors yesterday for the first time since he was confined to his bed at the Grand Hotel.
T. P. Paulings, one of the forwards, is still in bed and having special eye treatment. Neither he nor the manager will be able to visit the South Island but they will rejoin the team on its return to Wellington.
