VALUES AT RANQIRIRI. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their monthly Rangiriri stock sale yesterday when fully the advertised number of cattle came forward. The entry consisted mainly of lines of store steers, the majority being yearlings and Uvo-year-olds. There was a very large attendance and competition, especially for grown cattle, was keen throughout and fully late rates were maintained. Young cattle, however, were not so keenly sought, although practically the whole yarding changed hands at satisfactory prices. One pen of well-bred Polled Angus yearling steers offered on account of Messrs Murray and Maloney, of Glen Murray, sold for £7 15s, while a pen of Hereford yearlings from the same vendors realised £7 Bs. Dairy cattle sold at late rates.
