CAMBRIDGE J ÜBILEE.
SUCCESS 0F CELEBRATIONS. PROFIT OF £IOO SHOWN. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE. Monday. A statement presented at an execu—tive meeting of the Cambridge Bor~ ough Jubilee Committee disclosed an estimated profit of £IOO on the recent celebrations. The honorary organising secretary. Mr F. 'l‘. Ray, stated that this amount would be available for some public benefit. The amount does not include grants totalling £B2 which were made at the meeting for special services and to local bodies. The Mayor, Mr C. H. Priestley, ex—pressed surprise at the financial result and he congratulated all concern—ed. He paid a tribute to the enthusiasm shown by the public. Mr W. Drake said it was gratifying that the Jubilee trotting meeting had been so successful. The Trotting Club had donated £75 to the Jubilee fund. The financial statement was approved and it was decided from the £B2 mentioned to donate £l2 to the Choral Society. £lO to the Literary and Dramatic Society and £lO to the Municipal Band. The services of Messrs. F. 'l‘. Bay and Edgar James (chairman of the executive) were also suitably recogniscd.
