RAID ON WHARF.
POLICE SURPRISE PARTY. ALLEGED GAMING OFFENCES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Monday. A crowd of two hundred men dispersed in all directions on tlie Central Wharf to-day when a party of thirteen police suddenly appeared. It is alleged that tlie police found money, a crown-and-anchor hoard and oilier gaming material. The names of forty men were taken and Police Court proceedings are expected.
