EMINENT VISITOR.

CANADIAN EX-PREMIER. RUAKURA FARM INSPECTED. Mr R. B. Bennett, a former Prime Minister of Canada, and at present Leader of the Opposition, who is on a tour of New Zealand, arrived in Hamilton by car from Auckland to r day. He visited the Ruakura Farm of Instruction this afternoon and will continue his tour to-morrow. He was met on arrival by the Mayor, Mr J. R. Fow and the town clerk, Mr W. L. Waddel. On the way from Auckland Mr Bennett and party inspected the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company’s factory at Taupiri, Mr Bennett stating that he was very impressed with what he had seen, lie also stated that the forward condition of the pastures, alter the winter, and the type of country that they had passed through had greatly attracted him.
