EAST COAST RAILWAY.
WORK ACCELERATED. TUNNELLING TO COMMENCE!. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Saturday. Construction work on the Gisborne end of the railway to Napier has been accelerated during the past fortnight, •575 men now being employed between Gisborne and Walkokopu.
Preparations are in hand for the commencement of tunnelling, which is a major feature of the work on this section of the line.
