A Surprise to All.—J. Boal provided a surprise for the club last Saturday when he came in with the first pack. This runner has brig-ht prospects if he carries on the way he has been. Boal is another who should find a place in the fast pack. K. Bogue is improving every day and as the youngest member of the fast pack, has maintained his position well. He has had some good performances to his credit. The younger members should benefit by the inclusion in the club 01‘ l“. .\lcLachlan, whose past experience will be of great value to amateur runners. A Good Grounding.—-L Erkell has had a good grounding in both sprinting and long distance running. At the Hamilton High School he received valuable tuition in the sport and will now make his presence felt in the club’s outings. He shows plenty of dash and stamina although his style is better suited to road work. J. McKinnelly showed considerable skill at taking the obstacles last Saturday. He has the right temperament for a steady runner. New Member Does Well.——Consider- ‘ ing he is only a late addition to the club, N. Polglase has done surprisingly well. In his first outing he was the second member to return home. J
