WEDDING.
HOWARD—WILKIE. The marriage was snlemnised on June 3 of Knox Presbyterian Church. Mnrrinsvillr‘. lmiwoen .\nne. eldest daughter of Mrs A, Draper. of Tatuanui, and the late .\ir D. \Vilkie, of Tnihape, and Leslie. twin son of Mr Howard. of Manawaru, and the late Mrs Howard. The Rev G. A. .\‘aylor performed the ceremony, and Mr G. McLeod was the organist. The‘ bride, who was escorted by Mr .T. E. Hillary, of Tatuanui, wore a beautiful gown of ivory ring velvet, rut on classical lines. the full skirt forming a long train. Her embroidered “Ell fell in soft folds from a halo of orange blossoms. and she carried a shower bouquet of cream free‘sias and Chrysanthemums. , The bridesmaids, Miss Gwen Atkinv son, of Cambridge. and Miss Mary Brosnan, wore frocks oi? blush-pink velvet finished with smockinn done in black and featuring: cowl sleeves. The? wore bandeaux of pink flowers mount—ed on velvet. and their shower bouquets were of pink Chrysanthemums and maid'enhair fern. The two flower girls were Pat Howard (niece of the bridegroom), and Avis Frempton, who wore' anklelength i‘rocks of pink velvet smocked at the yoke and shoulders. They wore bandeaux of plaited silver lame and carried Victorian posies. Mr A. Howard, of Thames, was best man, and Mr R» VVilkie groomsman Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Nottingham Castle Hotel, where the guests were received ‘by the bride‘s mother, who wore a new tailored costume‘ and furs, with hat to match. She carried a posy of violets and narcissi.
