MEETING OF MANAGEMENT. Mr A. E. Gibbons presided at the weekly meeting of the management ‘committee of the Hamilton Busoy iFoothail Union at ihe union rooms ‘ last night. ‘ Mr F. Buckingham (Marist Brothers Old Boys) gave notice oi’ motion to Irescind the resolution passed at last meeting imposing a gate charge on all players attending representative matches. It was decided after discussion to seek the opinion or the primary and secondary school authorities regarding a proposal to impose a charge to schoolboys of 3d for admission to Rugby Park. the intention being to augment the funds of the union so that at the appropriate time of the year the school grants could be main—tained and possibly augmented. itiangerous condition of some players' sprigs, several accidents having occurred last Saturday in senior and lower grade matches through this cause. it was decided to have a sprig linspection to all grades every Saturday. The Referees‘ Association is to be [notified and asked to co—operate with the management committee in maintaining the inspection until the desired cli’ect is attained. Hayes Paddock. Disoustson arose regarding Hayes Paddock and the proposed municipal ugolf links. The chairman pointed out that although the union had in past years spent a considerable sum of money on Hayes Paddock. and had secured as a, result two first-class, all-weather grounds. it; was not rely'ing on this fact to Justify its continued tenure ot‘ the paddock, but on the grounds of having an equitable [use of public reserves.
