James Massey, aged 21. who was hanged to-day {or the murder or Norman Stead at Darlinshurst on February 10. left a statement {or publication expressing deep regret at the pain. dishonour and sorrow he had brought upon his wife and father and mother, and at the terrible bereavement in the family of the man he had murdered. He added: “I pray that my desperate posltlon and poor reparation may prove a warning to the youth of my use not to neglect those thlngs that count for Christian _l_i_f£ and conduct."
