IN ALBERTA.
(To the Editor.) Sil‘r—The following is “the" sum—marised technique of the Douglas Social Credit proposals, on the basis of which Mr Ahei‘hart and his associ—ates rode into power and office: (1) To establish a National Credit Autho—rity, which will finance all national, semi-national and social services and undertakings; (2) to pay a. subsidy to the primary prodUCer so as to enable him to meet his costs of production: (8) to reduce prices to con—sumers by means of a retail discount ——-this price will reflect a just price; (4) to pay a national dividend. own: and above wages, to every man. woman and child; (5) national or social credit to be debt-free and interest tree.
Note, credit to be debt—free and in-terest-free; yet this amateur economist expects his financial advisers, who are bankers, to operate and function on Socal Credit lines. The whole thing reflects something in the nature of a financial circus. There is not the slightest chance of .\lbertu ever becoming a Social Credit State under its present; Government, which in turn is subject to the dictates of high tinance.—l am, 910.,
