ODDFELLOWS’ DANCE.

_W FUNCTION AT T! AWAMUTU. An enjoyable dance, organised by the Te Awamutu branch of the Odd{ello'ws' Lodge, was held in the Te Awamutu Town Hall on Monday even—ing. There was a large attendance. including members of lodges in other districts. Mr E. Linton was ML. and dance music was played by Mrs Leckie's Orchestra. Extras were given by Miss \V. Gilbert and Mr E. Penney, and a tap dance was given by Miss W. Glihert. Novelty dances were won by Mrs \V. G. Adams and partner, and Miss E. Clarke and partner. A unique feature of the evening was the presentation by Mr ’l‘. \V. Thomp—son (Hamilton), immediate past 1’).G..\1.. to Miss E. Clarke. secretary of the lodge, of a jewel donated by the Auckland district for nominating at least 20 candidates to the order. Supper was served by the social committee.
