FLOWER SHOW

EXHIBITS AT PUKEATUA. ' BEAUTIFUL BLOOIWS DISPLAYED. | A Aery successful Autumn Flower Show of the Pukeatua Horticultural Society was held on Wednesday. Dahlias, of course, I took pride of place among the blooms, but other autumn flowers or remarkably good quality were well represented. A table of dahlias, grown by Mr F. Mason, of Te Awnmutu (kindly sent for exhibition), called Tor much admiration and interest. The decorative section, always a popular one, drew a large number or entries, and very creditable work was done in all classes. Home Industries and needlework classes were well contested, and very good work was displayed In the children’s section’. The judging was ably and satisfactorily carried out by Miss Mandeno for the dccorativo section, Mrs Johnstone Tor the needlework section’, Mrs Pattlson and Mrs Knowles for home Industries, Mrs Osborne for the children’s section, and Mr Mason for the dahlias, cut flowers, vegetables and rrutt sections.
